Mongolian Nationality Primary School in Baotou

The Mongolian Nationality Primary School in Baotou was set up in 1957, covering an area of 8,126 square metres, with 16 classes and 706 students, among whom 230 students belong to the Mongolian ethnical group. The total number of the teaching staff is 72,and 43 teachers have Mongolian background. This school is the only boarding school in Baotou which is entitled to enroll foreign students.

  When we started to establish the green school in 2002,we set our targets as: to strengthen our students’ environmental awareness, to optimize education environment, to make sustainable development of the school. To achieve the goals, we have taken some effective measures, we have conducted behavioral education and advocated green life by designing a series of theme activities. All the work have contributed to a harmonious atmosphere for learning.

Our school has always concerned and strived for these things: innovated teaching, quality education, cultivating self-confidence. To achieve these goals we have adopted the following measures. 1. to improve the traditional teaching method, giving attention to individual personality.2.to optimize teaching structure ,combining the knowledge of sustainable development with the teaching materials.3. to have adequate use of network resources.

 It is believed that with the future development of basic education’s course reformation we can achieve more success in creating a school with the spirit of sustainable development.
